파스텔뮤직이 2008년 지난 9월, 첫 번째 컨셉 컴필레이션 ‘ 사랑의 단상 chapter.1’ 에 이어 두 번째 컴필레이션 ‘This is not a love song - 사랑의 단상 Chapter.2’를 발표했다. 이번 음반은 롤랑 바르트의 도서 ‘사랑의 단상’ 에서 영감을 얻어 만들어진 컨셉 컴필레이션으로 이후 2장의 음반과 총 4회의 공연으로 이어지는 프로젝트로 기획되었다. 지구 멸망 직전까지 계속될 테마 ‘사랑’을 가지고, 2009년 파스텔뮤직을 이끌어갈 뮤지션 들과 함께 만들어진, 가장 아름다운 화음의 집합체로 제작된 음반, this is not a love song.

지난 첫 번째 컴필레이션에 이은 두 번째 컴필레이션은 독일의 싱어송 라이터 ‘막시밀리안 헤커’를 비롯, 첫 번째 컴필레이션으로 단숨에 음악 팬들을 사로잡은 ‘에피톤 프로젝트’, 이 시대의 가장 중요한 여성 싱어송 라이터 ‘한희정’, 때묻지 않은 음악으로 단숨에 많은 선배 뮤지션 들을 사로잡은 ‘루싸이트 토끼’, 신예 여성 싱어송 라이터 ‘러블리벗’ 그리고, 드디어 그 정체를 드러내는 ‘센티멘탈 시너리’가 참여했다. 음악 장르도 일렉트로닉, 모던 록, 포크, 보사노바, 발라드에 이르기까지 다양한 장르를 하나의 음반 안에 녹여내 기존의 컴필레이션 음반이 갖는 한계를 뛰어넘어 다양성과 포용력을 발휘하는 음반으로 제작되었다.

파스텔뮤직이 기획하고 소리바다가 후원하는 이번 프로젝트는 국내 최대 규모의 패션모델 에이전시 ‘ESteem’의 도움을 받았으며, 첫 번째 컴필레이션에 이어 신인 모델 ‘홍종현’과 ‘타루’가 커버 아트웍과 뮤직비디오에 함께 출현했다.

Prologue - '센티멘탈 시너리'
첫 곡 ‘Prologue’는 그 동안 베일에 가려져있던 ‘센티멘탈 시너리’의 연주 곡으로 시작된다. 센티멘털 시너리에 대한 세간의 관심은 여전하지만, 그의 모습을 영 볼 수가 없다. 보컬리스트 ‘타루’의 첫 번째 음반을 프로듀싱하고 요조 등의 뮤지션 들의 작업을 간간히 도왔을 뿐, 그의 정규 음반에 관한 소식도 그의 모습도 알 수가 없었다. 이번 음반은 12월에 발매될 ‘센티멘탈 시너리’의 ‘정규음반’ 발매와 연장선을 두고 그의 2009년의 활동의 시작을 알리는 계기가 될 것이다. 감성적인 비트와 멜로디의 조화들이 돋보이는 곡들로, 본 음반에서 그는 총 3곡에 참여했다.

첫 번째 프로젝트로 공식적인 데뷔를 한 ‘에피톤 프로젝트’는 싱어송 라이터 ‘한희정’과 함께 ‘그대는 어디에’로 참여했다. 첫 번째 컴필레이션, 사랑의 단상 Chapter.1- with or without you 앨범에서 ‘나는 그 사람이 아프다’로 올 가을, 실연한 사람들의 배경음악을 도배했던 에피톤 프로젝트. 이번 앨범에서도 순간 마음에 와 박히는 가사와 선명한 피아노 선율로 사랑의 부재로 가슴 아픈 이들의 마음을 더욱 아프게 흔들어댄다.

독일의 싱어송 라이터 ‘막시밀리안 헤커’는 이번 프로젝트에 가장 특별하게 참여했다. 지난 달, 그는 본 음반과 의미를 같이 하는 ‘사랑의 단상’ 이라는 부제를 가지고 5번째 내한공연을 매진으로 이끌었다. 또 다시 많은 음악 팬들의 마음을 깊이 울린 그는 이 앨범에서 지금은 휴식중인 ‘ 더 멜로디’의 ‘Love box’를 리메이크해 많은 화제를 모으고 있다. 그의 목소리가 그대로 아름다운 악기가 되어 울리는데, 그가 만드는 이 ‘사랑 상자’는 아름답고 영롱하면서도 또 한편으로는 ‘안타까운 마음’이 되어 당신의 귀가 아닌 가슴에 파고든다.

지난 10월, 한국 모던 록의 새로운 시작을 알리며 첫 번째 정규앨범을 발표한 ‘짙은’은 ‘달’이라는 곡으로 참여했다. 어느 날 밤 고개를 올려 바라본 ‘달’에서 시작된 사랑의 테마를 변주한다. 사랑이 주는 절망과 충족감, 그 모든 것들을 간직하고 싶은 마음이 절제된 듯 호소력 깊은 보컬 ‘성용욱’의 목소리에 묻어난다. ‘러블리벗’은 ‘그대 목소리’로 처음으로 음악 팬들에게 인사한다. 보사노바 멜로디에 편안한 햇살 같은 보이스에 그대 목소리를 음악이 되어 들리는 순간을 노래한다. ‘루싸이트 토끼’는 ‘기다리는 하루’로 참여했다. 봄날엔 봄의 빛처럼, 겨울이면 겨울의 햇살처럼 찾아 드는 두 소녀의 목소리가 조금 성숙한 듯 들리는 건 왜일까. 첫 번째 정규 앨범 발표 이후 활발한 활동을 하고 있는 이들은 ‘기다리는 하루’를 통해, 사랑의 담론 중 기다림을 루싸이트 토끼 식으로 표현해냈다. 앨범의 마지막을 장식하는 ‘한희정’의 ‘멜로디로 남아’는 가사와 멜로디가 그녀만이 소화할 수 있는 감각으로 가장 잘 드러나있다. 끝이 없을 거라 믿어왔던 모든 게 사라지고, 결국 만남과 헤어짐이 어느 새 닮아버린 이야기. 이 곡은 목소리와 어쿠스틱 기타로 만들어내는 선율이 그득 담겨 이상하리만큼 가슴에 절절히 전해지는 곡이다.

사랑에 관한 담론은 고대부터 현대에 이르기까지 무수히 많은 음악의 테마였다.
그러나 ‘사랑’이라는 테마가 고갈되어 곧 끝이 날까. 그렇게 믿는 사람이 있을까.
우리가 숨쉬는 모든 순간에 사랑이라는 이 무의미한 노동을 멈출 수 있는 사람이 있을까.

Returns & Exchanges

Requirements
Please take into consideration that we only accept qualifying returns but not exchanges.
Refunds are issued once the returned products clear our inspection.

An item is eligible for cancellation if :

- you posted a Return request within 24 hours of payment and your order is still under “Pending” status
(if your order is under “Queued for Shipment” status, please contact our customer service center) OR
- the order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay OR
- the ordered item is out of stock.

We accept return(s) if :

- you receive a product different from your order OR
- you receive a defective product.

① Post a return request on our Return forum within three days of receipt. You are required to attach the photos of the received product(s) and include the item code, the order number, and the reason for the return.
② A customer service representative will be in contact to assist you by email or phone.
③ Items returned must be in their original condition, which includes tags and any packaging. Also, you need to include a note of your order number, name, and user ID.

Please be advised that returns are accepted ONLY IF you followed the instructions above and your return request has been approved by our staff. Returns that are shipped to us without any prior consent are not accepted.
Please note that EVEN the defective/incorrect item(s) must be returned with all of the tags and labels intact. The item(s) must be sent in their original packaging and unworn.
Please include all contents of the original package and free gifts (if applicable) in your return packaging.
Shipping fee for any return caused by our fault will be paid by the company. However, if EMS’ cash on delivery is not possible then you can scan the return receipt and either mail it with the item to return or post an image of it on the forum.
The shipping fee will be refunded once the returned item has arrived.

We do not accept return(s) if :

- you are returning the items just because you changed your mind (on size, color, etc.)
- you are returning shoes, bags, or any other accessories
- the products are damaged due to your mishandling

The following items are not considered defective :
* Items that are originally manufactured without tags or labels
* Items with creases that may have been made while shipping

If there is a missing item from your order :
