Hello, Professor. Sam Beam 마이애미주립대의 영화학 교수였던 샘 빔에게 음악은 그저 자신의 오감을 휴식케 하는 소소한 즐거움 이었다. 학교에서의 일과를 마치고 집에 와서 기타와 컴퓨터로 뚱땅거리며 만든 노래들, 남들에겐 그저 이름없는 소시민의 골방팝에 지나지 않겠지만, 그에겐 이를 데 없는 만족감으로 다가오던 은밀한 사생활. 하지만 그 음악을 접한 친구이자 뮤지션, 벤 브리드웰 (Ben Bridwell / Band of Horses)의 권유로 2000년 데모를 제작하게 되었고 그 중 한 곡인 ‘Dead Man's Will’이 잡지 예티(Yeti)의 부록 CD에 엘리엇 스미스(Elliott Smith)의 ‘Angel in the Snow’ 등과 함께 실리게 된다. 그리고 그로부터 2년 후에 A&R 의지가 투철한 시애틀의 독립레이블, 서브 팝(Sub Pop)에 의해 우리는 '아이언 앤 와인, Iron & Wine'이란 이름으로 ‘뮤지션, 빔 교수’를 다시 접하게 되었다. 고요한 오솔길의 노래, 소박한 푸르름을 간직한 데뷔작 T h e C r e e k D r a n k T h e C r a d l e ( 2 0 0 2 ) 2002년 가장 빛나는 데뷔앨범 - 4.5/5 All Music Guide 멜로디는 졸음을 달래고 그 안의 섬세한 가사는 우리를 완전히 몰입하게 한다. - 4.5/5 Rolling Stone 아름다운 보컬, 훌륭한 가사, 정신이완의 삼위일체 - 5/5 Sputnikmusik 8.1/10 Pitchfork Media 새로운 4-트랙 히어로의 등장, 필청 앨범 - Dusted Magazine 조용히 속삭이는 다정한 음악 - Paste Magazine ‘다시 떠오른 핑크 문, 풍성함을 머금은 닉 드레이크’ 그렇다할 음악적 배경도, 연결고리도 없었고 공연도 하지 않았던 아이언 앤 와인의 첫 번째 앨범은 스튜디오 작업조차 없이 기타와 밴조, 자신의 목소리만을 담은 데모만으로 이렇게 세상에 소개 되었다. 담겨 있는 것은 홀로 작곡, 작사, 아트워크까지 도맡은 완전한 샘 빔 자신이다. 남부의 고루한(?) 전원생활이 몸에 배고 카메라 프레임을 찬찬히 살피던 것이 일상이던 그였기에 주일(主日)의 오후, 오솔길과 수선화를 이야기하는 시선은 창문을 열면 숨결에 닿은 바람 같이 당연한 일일지도 모르겠다. 그렇지만 놀랍게도 한 눈에 반하기 좋아하는 우리 취향에는 낡은 사운드라고 옆으로 치워놓을 법도 한 이 앨범이 그를 뉴-포크의 대안으로 떠오르게 했다. |

- you posted a Return request within 24 hours of payment and your order is still under “Pending” status (if your order is under “Queued for Shipment” status, please contact our customer service center) OR - the order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay OR - the ordered item is out of stock.
We accept return(s) if :- you receive a product different from your order OR - you receive a defective product.
[ Return Instructions ] ① Post a return request on our Return forum within three days of receipt. You are required to attach the photos of the received product(s) and include the item code, the order number, and the reason for the return. ② A customer service representative will be in contact to assist you by email or phone. ③ Items returned must be in their original condition, which includes tags and any packaging. Also, you need to include a note of your order number, name, and user ID. Please be advised that returns are accepted ONLY IF you followed the instructions above and your return request has been approved by our staff.
