Candy Shop 박경호와 염승재로 구성된 어쿠스틱 기타 듀오 '2km'의 데뷔작 [2km,, Almost There] 염승재는 퓨전 재즈 그룹 ‘푸딩(Pudding)’과 에스닉(ethnic)밴드 ‘앨리스 인 네버랜드(Alice In Neverland)’를 거쳐 오며 화려한 경력을 쌓았다. 또한 가수 양희은 밴드에서 활동하고 있으며 이영현, 임재범, 조성모 등의 가수들의 세션 활동도 활발히 하고 있는 기타리스트이다. 또 다른 멤버 박경호는 이은미, 휘성, 김범수 등 스타 가수들의 세션 연주자로 활동했으며, 2004년 베테랑 연주자들과 ‘모이다 밴드(Moida Band)’를 결성해 대한민국 퓨전 재즈계의 든든한 한 축을 담당하고 있는 음악계에서 내로라하는 실력자다. 타이틀곡 ‘Friends & Miles’는 앨범을 상쾌한 느낌으로 열어 주며,. ‘Rush’는 탁 트인 도로를 유유히 움직이는 분위기다. 그 외에도 ‘The Way To You’, 'Candy Shop’도 시원스러운 연주를 들려준다. ‘Honesty’는 그 어떤 수식이나 과장 없이 자신의 솔직한 심정을 밝히는 듯하며, ‘Anything Like Me’,‘Piece Of Mind’에서는 왠지 모를 애잔함이 드러난다. 발랄함과 서정미를 함께 내보이는 ‘Take me’, 힘 있는 연주가 투우사의 경기나 무곡(舞曲)을 떠올리게 하는 ‘Goes On’, ‘Everybody Hurts’ 등 13트랙으로 구성. 국내 최초의 어쿠스틱 기타 듀오. 두 대의 기타가 조성하는 월등한 청량감, 능동적인 상상을 돕는 표현 등, 앨범은 신선미와 매력을 빠짐없이 담고 있다. |
