Seven Riders 역사상 가장 위대한 서부극의 결정판 [황야의 7인]의 재창조 매그니피센트 7 The Magnificent Seven Original Motion Picture Soundtrack '타이타닉', '가을의 전설', '아바타'의 위대한 영화음악가 故 제임스 호너 (James Horner)의 숨겨진 유작의 재발굴 구로사와 아키라 감독의 1954년도 걸작 [7인의 사무라이(七人の侍)]의 무대를 서부개척시대 멕시코로 옮겨 놓은 1960년도 리메이크 작 [황야의 7인(The Magnificent Seven)]이 2016년, 안톤 후쿠아(Antoine Fuqua) 연출의 새로운 리메이크 작 [매그니피센트 7 (The Magnificent Seven)]으로 탄생했다. 한국에서는 이병헌이 주연을 맡게 되며 화제가 된 영화이기도 하다. 2016 [매그니피센트 7]의 사운드트랙은 故 제임스 호너(James Horner)의 음악으로 이루어져 있다. 사실 그는 영화가 촬영되던 도중인 2015년 6월 22일 경비행기 추락사고로 사망했고, 안톤 후쿠아 감독 마저 그가 이 영화의 음악을 만들고 있었는지 조차 몰랐다. 제임스 호너의 사망 직후 2015년 7월, 안톤 후쿠아는 제임스 호너가 그를 놀라게 하기 위해 [매그니피센트 7]의 음악을 이미 작곡해온 사실을 알게 된다. 그리고 그가 남긴 음악을 필두로 제임스 호너와 오랜 시간 협력해온 친구이자 그의 크루 사이먼 프랜글렌(Simon Franglen)이 나머지를 완수하는 형태로 사운드트랙 작업이 진행되었다. 영화의 화면을 전혀 보지 않고 작곡된 악곡들이었지만 거기에는 이미 영화의 본질이 모두 들어있었다. 이후 9개월 동안 80인조 오케스트라와 함께 영화의 스코어를 완성시켜나갔다. "프로세스 전반에 걸쳐, 나는 이 음악이 제임스 호너의 정신을 완전히 투영해내고 있다 생각한다. 당신이 이것을 들을 때 제임스를 기억하고, 그가 항상 주장해왔던 것처럼 스코어를 통해 필름의 영혼을 들을 수 있을 것이다." *James Horner (1953-2015) 1953년 8월 14일 캘리포니아에서 출생한 제임스 호너는 아카데미를 수상한 디자이너 겸 아트 디렉터인 해리 호너(Harry Horner)의 아들로 태어났다. 런던에서 5살 무렵부터 피아노를 시작했고 영국 왕립 음악원에서 현대음악가 죄르지 리게티(Gyorgy Ligeti)에게 사사했다. 이후 1970년 캘리포니아로 돌아와 서던 캘리포니아 대학교에서 학사학위를 땄고, UCLA 대학원에서 음악 작곡 및 이론 분야에서 석사와 박사학위를 취득한 후 같은 대학에서 교편을 잡았다. 그러는 와중 로저 코먼(Roger Corman)에게 발탁되면서 로저 코먼 사단 영화들로 영화음악가로써의 커리어를 시작한다. [The Lady in Red], [심해의 공포(Humanoids From The Deep)], [우주의 7인(Battle Beyond The Stars)] 같은 작품들을 해왔는데, 마찬가지로 로저 코먼 사단에서 처음 커리어를 시작했던 흥행의 마술사 제임스 카메론(James Cameron)과도 여기서 인연이 되어 비교적 최근까지 작품활동을 함께 해나갔다. 주로 월터 힐(Walter Hill)과 론 하워드(Ron Howard), 에드워드 즈윅(Edward Zwick), 그리고 제임스 카메론, 멜 깁슨(Mel Gibson)과 함께 작업해왔다. 제임스 호너는 제임스 카메론과의 첫 작품이었던 [에이리언2(Aliens)]를 통해 처음 아카데미 후보에 올랐고 결국 제임스 카메론의 [타이타닉(Titanic)]으로 작곡상, 그리고 셀린 디온(Celilne Dion)이 부른 노래 'My Heart Will Go On'이 주제가상을 받으면서 총 2개 부문을 수상하게 된다. 국내에서는 [아바타], [타이타닉] 이외에도 [피블의 모험 (An American Tail)]의 주제곡인 린다 론스태드(Linda Ronstadt)와 제임스 잉그램(James Ingram)이 부른 'Somewhere Out There', 그리고 [가을의 전설]의 스코어가 당시 TV CF에 사용되면서 익숙해졌다. [주만지(Jumanji)]나 [꼬마유령 캐스퍼(Casper)], [인간 로켓티어(The Rocketeer)] 같은 따뜻한 선율의 아동용 영화부터 [패트리어트 게임(Patriot Games)], [펠리칸 브리프(The Pelican Brief)], 그리고 [랜섬(Ransom)] 등의 스릴러 물까지 자유자재로 완수해낸, 광범위한 영역을 아우르는 위대한 작곡가이자 음악학자였다. |

We accept return(s) if :- you receive a product different from your order OR - you receive a defective product.
[ Return Instructions ] ① Post a return request on our Return forum within three days of receipt.
