'사랑의 단상 Chapter 3 : Follow You, Follow Me' Juno(From Casker), Herz Analog, 이진우, Hee Young, Gros Calin(그로 칼랭), Allegrow, Fanny Fink, Lovelybut, 융진 (From Casker) 참여. 컨셉 컴필레이션 ‘사랑의 단상’은 롤랑 바르트의 저서 ‘사랑의 단상’ 에서 영감을 얻어 만들어져, 2008년에 첫 번째 앨범을 발표, 2장의 음반과 총 4회의 공연으로 이어지는 프로젝트로 기획됐다. 지구 멸망 직전까지 계속될 ‘사랑’이라는 테마로 기획된 이 프로젝트는 2011년에 그 세 번째 결과물을 발표하게 되었다. 봄의 설렘을 느끼며 참여 뮤지션들과의 많은 대화를 통해 만들어진 이번 앨범은 그들의 사랑에 대한 진솔한 이야기를 담고 있다. 한 편의 영화를 보듯, 시선을 사로잡는 하나의 사진을 보듯 한 곡 한 곡들이 개별적으로 그리고 하나의 앨범으로서 존재한다. 때론 잔인하지만 따뜻한 봄날을 뒤로 하고 그들의 노래는 이렇게 흘러나온다. 챕터1,2와 마찬가지로 이 앨범의 목차이자 앨범의 컨셉을 들려주는 intro곡 ‘Stay with you’는 캐스커 '이준오'의 솔로 프로젝트 'juno'가 캐스커와 같으면서도 다른 감성을 들려준다. ‘Stay with you’는 잿빛의 영화 한 트랙이 금방 시작할 것 같은 연주트랙으로 아련한 날의 기억이 벚꽃처럼 흩어지며 그 사람 juno의 단상이 시작된다. 캐스커의 명성에 걸맞게 포스트 윤상의 아우라가 느껴지는 '이런 날(feat. 이진우)'은 따스한 손을 건네는 듯한 가사가 가슴을 스치고 귀에 와 슬며시 감긴다. 몰래 바라보던 시선에서 시작된 두근거림과 어느샌가 손을 맞잡고 함께 추는 왈츠를 떠오르게 하는 아름다운 노래이다. 낯설면서도 반드시 주목해야만 하는 이름들이 꽤 등장하는 이번 앨범은 소개할 이름들이 많아 보인다. 신예 '헤르쯔 아날로그', 독일어로 심장을 의미하는 Herz에서 따온 그의 이름은 '아날로그 감성을 가진 심장'을 뜻한다. 서울대 성악과에 재학중이던 젊은 청년은 거리에서 만난 사운드를 채집해 일렉트로닉 비트에 섞어내는 음악 만들기에 혼자 심취해있다가 파스텔뮤직과 만나게 된다. 그리곤 몇 곡의 싱글곡을 자체적으로 발표하기도 한다. 하지만 정식 데뷔는 이번 앨범이 처음인 셈. '이별을 걸으며'는 '헤르쯔 아날로그'가 그간 지향해오던 일렉트로닉한 방식을 잠시 놓아두고 어쿠스틱 피아노와 보컬트랙, 그가 직접 채취한 거리의 소리만을 가지고 만들어졌다. 소박한 어레인지에 얹혀진 새소리, 거리의 공간감이 느껴지며 순간 마음 한 켠이 아련하게 울려오게 하는 매력적인 곡이다. 대중음악계에 흔치 않은 여성 작곡가 중심의 1인 프로젝트 그룹 ‘러블리벗’은 ‘그손, 한번만’을 작곡할 때 ‘사랑의 한없는 깊이가 느껴지기를 바라는 마음’으로 작업하였다고 이야기한다. 그녀 특유의 조화로운 사운드와 따뜻한 감성은 앞으로 그녀의 행보를 기대하게 한다. ‘이진우’라는 이름은 ‘에피톤 프로젝트’의 정규앨범 타이틀곡 '한숨의 늘었어'의 피처링으로 꽤나 익숙한 이름이다. 이번 프로젝트에서 ‘juno’의 보컬로도 참여하기도 했지만 ‘스무살’이라는 자작곡으로도 참여, 모든 악기를 능수능란하게 다루며 다재다능함을 뽐내고 있다. 스무살이라는 노래명처럼 친숙하면서 청량한 기타 소리가 갓 지나간 봄날 혹은 초여름의 습기를 생각나게 하는 청춘의 노래. 얼마 전 EP ‘so sudden’을 발표한 뉴욕의 싱어송라이터 Hee Young은 멜랑꼴리한 팝 넘버 ‘Buy Myself a goodbye’으로 참여했다. 네이버 이주의 뮤직으로 선정돼 올해의 기대주로 주목 받고 있기도 하다. 로랭 가리의 소설 제목으로도 유명한 누재즈( nu-jazz) 밴드 ‘그로칼랭’은 세련된 일렉트로닉 비트와 멜로디감이 돋보이는 곡, 너를 향한 아픈 밤의 노래 ‘파니핑크’의 ‘밤은 좋고 그래서 나쁘다’. ‘알레그로’의 사근사근한 팝 ‘Love today’ 그리고 낯설면서도 어딘가 익숙한 ‘옆집남자’의 ‘봄바람이 부른다’는 기타 선율에 묻어나는 누군가의 소식을 알리는 벚꽃의 이야기를 들려주며 마지막은 캐스커의 융진이 솔로로 참여한 연주 트랙 ‘stay with me’로 끝이 난다. 거리에서 만나고 지나간 그리고 현재 진행중인 수많은 사랑의 단상들, 당신의 마음속에서 멈출 줄 모르고 쉴새 없이 돌아가는 그 것, ‘사랑의 단상’ 그 세 번째 이야기가 이제 시작된다.
