JK김동욱) YDG BEST앨범 ‘Best of Best’ 발표! 군 제대 후 디지털싱글 <개키워>로 대중들에게 새로운 출발을 알린 양동근(YDG)이 정규앨범 발매에 앞서 주옥 같은 명곡을 모은 베스트 앨범을 발표했다. 2001년 아티스트 네임 Y.D.G로 데뷔해 국내 힙합계의 메인 스트림으로 자리잡아온 양동근은 가수 데뷔 후 본인의 앨범뿐만 아니라 우리나라의 실력 파 아티스트들의 피처링을 통해 대중들에게 많은 사랑을 받았다. 그런 그의 베스트앨범은 힙합 마니아들과 대중들에게 선사하는 그만의 종합선물세트다. 이번 베스트앨범은 그 동안 발표한 음악들 중 총13곡이 수록되어 있으며, 1집 때부터 함께 해온 프로듀서 Smokie J가 특별히 곡 선정에 심혈을 기울인 앨범으로, 배우 양동근이 아닌 아티스트 YDG로서의 음악적 재능과 고집을 느끼기에 부족함이 없다. 수록되어 있는 곡들을 살펴보면 그가 대중들에게 가수로서 첫 선을 보였던 구리뱅뱅, 흔들어를 포함, 청춘, 거울 등 대중들에게 큰 사랑을 받아온 곡들로 구성이 되어 있다. 수록 곡들 중 눈에 띄는 곡은 제대 후 처음으로 선보이는 신곡 <어깨>와 <탄띠>. 먼저 첫 번째 신곡 <어깨>는 양동근이 군생활 중 작업한 곡으로 국방부에서 주최한 ‘자살방지 캠페인’의 일환으로 만들어진 곡이며, 타이틀 곡 <탄띠>는 현재 3집 For this, I was born으로 활동중인 마이큐(My-Q)가 작곡한 곡으로 국방부의 위문열차라는 프로그램에서 먼저 선보여 일반 대중들은 접할 기회가 없었지만 이미 80만 국군장병들에게는 친숙한 곡이다. 수록 곡들의 대부분이 새롭게 재 편곡되거나 리마스터링 되어 있는데 이는 진보하는 YDG의 음악적 견해가 십분 발휘한 면이라 볼 수 있다. |
