가장 아름다운 멜로디, 가장 아름다운 날들 '뷰티풀데이즈'

현재 가요 음악씬 자체가 ‘걸그룹’에 의해 돌아 간다는 말이 생길 만큼, 바야흐로 ‘걸그룹 전성 시대’는 사실이다. 홍대를 위주로 한 소위 ‘인디’이라 불리는 이 음악씬에서도 ‘걸파워’가 유독 활발한 활동을 보이며, 그 만큼의 사랑을 받았던 시기는 2000년대 중반 경으로 올라간다. 그 당시 여성보컬을 앞세운 록밴드들이 우후죽순 격으로 데뷔하기 시작하였고, 이러한 현상은 시대의 흐름을 겪으며, 이제는 다소 정체 된 듯한 느낌을 주는것 또한 사실이다. 이런 시간의 흐름 속에서도 여전히 그들만의 아이덴티티를 뽑내며, 출중한 멜로디 라인을 들려주는 여성 보컬 밴드들 중 한팀이 바로 뷰티풀데이즈다.

이들의 음악이 대체 어떻길래 이렇게 자신있게 본인들을 스스로 ‘아름다운 날들’이라고 부르는 것일까라는 호기심이 생길 만큼의 좋은 밴드명이 아닐 수 없을 것이다. 2005년 첫 번째 EP음반 [가까이]를 발표 하며, 타이틀곡 ‘가까이’의 수려한 멜로디와 리듬감에 당시 수많은 여성 보컬 밴드들중 유독 귀에 감기는 멜로디감을 자랑하였다. 6곡이 수록된 이 첫번째 EP음반은 타이틀곡 ‘가까이’외에도, ‘초대’, ‘Ringo’와 같은 숨은 보석 같은 곡들의 팬들의 관심과 사랑을 한몸에 받으며, 가장 기대되는 여성보컬 팀으로 단숨에 올라 섰다. (참고로 이 음반은 이제는 사고 싶어도 구하기가 힘든 레어 아이템이 되어 버렸다.) 그리고, 2005년 뷰티풀데이즈에게는 이들의 음악을 더욱 더 많은 사람들에게 알릴 수 있는 기회가 있었는데, 바로 당시 최고의 연기자들의 캐스팅으로 화재를 누렸던 드라마 ‘패션70s’의 OST에 ‘아무것도 아냐’라는 곡으로 참여하여 뷰티풀데이즈는 보다 넓은 팬층을 확보 할 수 있었다.

같은해 두번째 EP [Beauti fool]을 발표 후 3년이 지나고 2008년 대망의 첫 번째 정규 음반 [Boy+Girl]을 발표 하며, 그 기세를 이어 갔다. 그 기간동안 뷰티풀데이즈는 2006년, 2008년 펜타포트 록 페스티벌에 오르는 영예를 안기도 하였다.

데뷔음반 [Boy+Girl]에서는 ‘장미빛 인생’이라는 경쾌한 미디엄 팝/록 넘버를 통해 건재함을 과시하였고, 그 이후로도 1년에 한번씩 연속으로 “네이버 이주의 국내음반”에 선정되었던 2집 [집시들의 시간] (2009)과 3집 [내일이 없는 것처럼] (2010)을 발표 하며, 2000년대 중반 활동하던 수 많은 여성보컬들이 소리소문 없이 사라져 가는 가운데에서도, 유독 반짝 반짝 빛나는, 끊이지 않는 창작력을 앞세우며, 그들의 사운드를 계속 팬들에게 들려 주고 있었다.

★★ 뷰티풀데이즈의 4번째 음반 [4], 그리고 가장 아름다운 ‘고백’ ★★
2년 만에 선보이는 이들의 새로운 정규앨범 [4]는 총 8곡의 세상에 들려주는 또 다른 8개의 이야기 들을 담고 있다. ‘눈 뜨는 아침해부터 눈 감는 새벽달까지 나에 낮과밤이 모두 너로 가득차올라’라는 가사로 시작하는 ‘고백’은 수많은 고심끝에 정해진 이번 음반의 타이틀 곡이다. 아름다운 기타라인으로 시작하는 이 곡은 마치 별빛 아래서 한잔의 와인을 마시며 들어야 어울릴 법한 고급스러움을 담고 있다. 하지만 후렴구의 멜로디와 애절한 마음을 들춰낸 가사 한 구절 한 구절 마다, 왠지 모를 따뜻함을 느끼게 해준다. 유독 찬 바람이 부는 2012년의 첫 시작으로 가장 잘 어울릴 법한 분위기다.

타이틀 곡 ‘고백’외에도 실험적인 사운드가 돋보이면서도 감수성 짙은 멜로디 라인까지 포기 하지 않고 있는 ‘롤러코스터’, 그 동안 발표 했던 어떤 곡 보다도 깊은 사운드와 음성을 자랑하며, 여타 다른 발라드 곡들과는 또 다른 느낌을 주는 ‘ 너와 얘길 나누다가’와 같은 미디엄 템포의 모던 록을 담고 있는 것은 물론, ‘딸기밭’과 같은 경쾌하고, 아기자기 한 스타일의 곡 역시 색다른 느낌으로 풀어 내고 있다.

주인공이 자기 자신에게 덤덤하게 이야기 하는 독백 스타일의 곡 ‘Dreamer’, 뷰티풀데이즈의 그 동안의 음악들과 다른 새로운 사운드를 들려주는 ‘붉은방’은 호기심을 자극하는 트랙이란 생각이 들 정도 이다. 밝은 느낌의 제목인 ‘Smile’은 정 반대 의미의 ‘Cry’을 함께 등장 시키며 웃음과 울음의 대조적인 상황을 그려내고 있다. 터질듯 말듯한 긴장감을 느끼게 해주는 ‘Fallin’을 끝으로, 뷰티풀데이즈의 8번째 아름다움과 슬픔이 공존하는 이야기는 끝이난다

처음으로 뷰티풀데이즈 란 이름이 세상에 나온지 어느덧 7년 이라는 시간이 흘렀다. 주변에서 수 많은 여성보컬팀들이 이런 저런 이유로 팀의 생명력을 포기 할때, 이 들은 ‘음악’이라는 이름으로 더욱 더 강해 지고 있었다. 세월이 흘러도 변하지 않는 조중현의 수려한 기타톤과 보컬 오희정의 국내에서 독보적이라 할 수 있는 신비스러운 묘한 매력을 앞세우며, 그들만의 확실한 아이덴티티를 확립했다. 이제는 더 이상 또 다른 어느 밴드와도 같은 여성 보컬이라는 이유로 같은 카테고리에 포함 시켜서는 안될 뷰티풀데이즈 만의 색깔을 확실히 지니고 있다. 그 색깔이 어떤 색인지는, 바로 이번 음반 [4]를 1번 부터 플레이 시키며, 직접 가늠해 보길 바란다.

Returns & Exchanges

Requirements
Please take into consideration that we only accept qualifying returns but not exchanges.
Refunds are issued once the returned products clear our inspection.

An item is eligible for cancellation if :

- you posted a Return request within 24 hours of payment and your order is still under “Pending” status
(if your order is under “Queued for Shipment” status, please contact our customer service center) OR
- the order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay OR
- the ordered item is out of stock.

We accept return(s) if :

- you receive a product different from your order OR
- you receive a defective product.

[ Return Instructions ]
① Post a return request on our Return forum within three days of receipt. You are required to attach the photos of the received product(s) and include the item code, the order number, and the reason for the return.
② A customer service representative will be in contact to assist you by email or phone.
③ Items returned must be in their original condition, which includes tags and any packaging. Also, you need to include a note of your order number, name, and user ID.

Please be advised that returns are accepted ONLY IF you followed the instructions above and your return request has been approved by our staff. Returns that are shipped to us without any prior consent are not accepted.
Please note that EVEN the defective/incorrect item(s) must be returned with all of the tags and labels intact. The item(s) must be sent in their original packaging and unworn.
Please include all contents of the original package and free gifts (if applicable) in your return packaging.
Shipping fee for any return caused by our fault will be paid by the company. However, if EMS’ cash on delivery is not possible then you can scan the return receipt and either mail it with the item to return or post an image of it on the forum.
The shipping fee will be refunded once the returned item has arrived.

We do not accept return(s) if :

- you are returning the items just because you changed your mind (on size, color, etc.)
- you are returning shoes, bags, or any other accessories
- the products are damaged due to your mishandling

The following items are not considered defective :

If there is a missing item from your order :
