Not Applicable : Applause & Credits Doppelgänger(CD+DVD) - 요나스 카우프만 카우프만의 최신 앨범은 독일 리트의 정점이라 할 수 있는 슈만과 슈베르트의 세 가지 가곡집을 결합한 작품이다. 특별히 섬세하고 아름다운 목소리로 작품에 내재된 감정과 시의 뉘앙스를 그려낸 『시인의 사랑』과 『쾰러 가곡집』은 2020년 코로나 팬데믹으로 인한 록다운 기간 동안 카우프만의 자택에서 녹음된 음원으로, 같은 해 발매된 『Selige Stunde (지복의 순간)』와 함께 수록되었다. 슈만의 가곡은 언어와 음악의 교감이 극도로 긴밀하며, 가수에게 순간적인 반응력이 요구되는 어려운 레퍼토리이다. 카우프만의 본질적이면서 치밀한 캐릭터 설정에 의해, 익숙한 두 작품에서 새로운 드라마가 떠오르는 듯한 경험을 선사한다. DVD에는 슈베르트의 『백조의 노래』를 독일의 촉망받는 연출가 클라우스 구트가 무대 작품으로 재창조한 『도펠갱어(그림자)』의 영상이 수록되어 있다. 『백조의 노래』의 마지막 곡 제목을 딴 이 무대는, 슈베르트 말년의 절창들을 21세기 연극적 시각으로 재해석하여 강렬한 시각적 이미지로 새로운 생명을 불어넣었다. “슈베르트 가곡이 상상력 넘치게, 그리고 가슴을 파고드는 충격으로 무대화되었으며, 관객이 놀라움에 숨을 멈추는 것이 느껴졌다”라는 극찬을 받았다. 이 영상은 2023년 9월, 뉴욕 파크 애비뉴 아머리(1880년에 지어진 미군 무기고를 라이브 공연장으로 개조한 장소)에서 초연된 실황이다.
