Tempo I 5:04 DETAIL INFO 조성진의 라벨 탄생 150주년 기념 두번째 앨범, <라벨: 피아노 협주곡>이 오는 2월 21일 발매된다. 조성진은 라벨에 대한 지속적인 탐구 여정의 일환으로 2024년 초 지휘자 안드리스 넬손스와 보스턴 심포니오케스트라(BSO)와 함께 카네기홀에서 <왼손을 위한 협주곡>을 연주했으며, 이에 대해 클래식 전문 사이트 ‘바흐트랙’은 “조성진의 왼손은 건반을 가볍고 힘 있고 능숙하게 휘저으며 오케스트라의 초반 크레센도에 천둥 같이 어두운 화음과 숨막히는 카덴차로 응수했다”라고 호평했고, ‘뉴 크라이테리언’은 조성진의 연주를 “단연코 모범답안”이라고 평했다. 본 앨범에서도 넬손스와 BSO가 참여했으며, 라벨 피아노 협주곡 G장조와 왼손을 위한 피아노 협주곡이 수록되어 있다. 조성진은 다닐 트리포노프와 유자 왕, 알렉상드르 캉토로프, 키릴 게르스타인에 이어 '2024 가장 바쁜 피아니스트' 5위를 기록했고(바흐트랙), 현재 가장 우아하고 탁월한 피아니스트 중 한 명으로 꼽힌다. 이번 앨범은 이러한 위상을 입증하기에 충분하다.
