작년 가을에 앨범 '판타지아'를 발표한 후, 곧이어 '멘델스존: 무언가'를 음원으로 공개하여 음악 팬들을 놀라게 했던 이고르 레빗이 새로운 작품을 발표했다. 이번에는 브람스의 두 개의 피아노 협주곡과 만년의 피아노 소품집을 결합한 3장짜리 앨범이다. 협연은 크리스티안 틸레만 지휘, 빈 필하모닉 오케스트라가 맡았다. 이고르레빗과 틸레만은 2015년에 모차르트 피아노 협주곡에서 드레스덴 슈타츠카펠레(Staatskapelle Dresden)와 처음으로 함께 연주하며, 훌륭한 연주를 통해 두 사람은 즉시 의기투합했다. 틸레만이 지휘하는 브람스 피아노 협주곡 녹음은 이번이 두 번째로, 첫 번째는 2010년대에 폴리니(Maurizio Pollini)와 함께한 협연이었다. 이번에는 빈 필하모닉과 함께하는 브람스 프로젝트의 일환으로 두 곡을 다시 연주하게 되었고, 이번에는 젊은 거장 이고르 레빗과 손을 잡았다. DISC3에는 브람스 만년의 명 피아노 작품들(작품 번호 116~119)이 레빗의 솔로 연주로 수록된다. 그리고 앨범의 마지막에는 깜짝 놀랄 만한 장치가 마련되어 있다. 4손 피아노를 위한 왈츠집 작품 번호 39 중 가장 유명한 제15번을 틸레만과 레빗이 함께 연주한다. 엄숙한 이미지의 두 사람이지만, 여기에서는 놀라울 정도로 친근한 모습을 볼 수 있다.  |
