멜키오르 프랑크의 모테트 모음집이 세계 최초로 녹음되어 출시되었다. 프랑크는 16세기 후반에서 17세기 초에 활약한 프로테스탄트 교회 음악 작곡가로, 40여 개의 모테트 작품집과 600곡 이상의 곡을 남겼다. 그는 베네치아 악파의 영향을 독일로 가져온 작곡가 중 한 명이다. 프랑크는 1602년부터 작센-코부르크 공작의 궁정 지휘자로 활동했으며, 그의 작품은 19세기 말에 재발견되었다. 이번 앨범은 그의 종교적 모테트의 세계 최초 녹음으로, 이탈리아와 네덜란드 음악의 영향을 반영한 폴리포니와 전례 텍스트 설정을 강조한 작품들이다.  |
