The Complete Columbia Album Collection (7CD) - 카를로스 차베스 카를로스 차베스는 멕시코 음악사에서 가장 영향력 있는 인물 중 하나였으며, 단순한 '멕시코 작곡가' 그 이상이었다. 2015년 뉴욕 타임스의 헌사에서 "하라베와 폭스트롯에서부터 신고전주의 전주곡과 장대한 교향곡에 이르기까지, 차베스의 작품은 세계적 요소와 국가적 요소에 동등하게 헌신한 음악가를 대변합니다."라고 표현했다. 그의 절친한 친구이자 지지자였던 아론 코플란드는 차베스를 "진정으로 현대적인 작곡가"의 대표적인 예로 꼽았다. 이 녹음들은 모두 1938년부터 1973년 사이에 차베스가 직접 지휘한 것으로, 대부분이 CD로 처음 발매는 것이다. 그중에서도 1938년에 RCA 빅터에서 녹음된 "안티고나 교향곡"과 인기 있는 "인디오 교향곡"이 이번에 처음으로 CD로 발매된다. 이 컬렉션의 중심은 다채로운 색채를 지닌 총 6개의 교향곡이지만, 차베스의 오리지널 발레 음악과 실내악 작품도 포함되어 있다. 1973년에 녹음된 발레 음악 "네 개의 태양"과 "피라미드"까지 수록되어 있다.
