HANNAH DETAIL INFO -부클릿1 LP QM의 두번째 정규작 [HANNAH] 테드 창의 단편소설 [STORY OF YOUR LIFE]로부터 나는 죽는 것이 두렵다. 인간 모두가 그러하다 되물을 수 있겠지만 그렇다면 나는 죽는 것이 조금 더 두렵다고 말하겠다. 버스 뒷좌석에 누가 앉는 것도, 영화관 뒷자리에 누가 앉는 것도, 모르는 누군가가 내게 달려오는 것도 두렵다. 아무 것도 하기 싫었다. 어차피 죽을 거라는 문장이 머리 안에 자리 잡은 후로는 그 무엇도 하기 싫었다. 그렇게 스물 아홉 살이 되었다. 우리 모두는 늙어 죽는다. 그렇기 때문에 시간이라는 환상에 집착하고, 유산을 남기는 것에 집착하고 돈에 집착한다. 살아 있는 동안 더 나은 삶, 더 편한 삶을 갖기 위해서. 나 역시 마찬가지다. 돈을 많이 벌고 싶다. 행복한 돈을. 어떤 형이 내게 돈을 많이 벌게 된다면 제일 먼저 하고 싶은 것이 무엇 이냐고 물었다. 그 물음에 나는 100만원의 가사처럼 아빠의 외제차와 엄마의 카페 그리고 동생의 사업자금을 이야기 했다. 그러자 그 형이 물었던 두 번째 물음이 나를 사로 잡았다. "그럼 너는?" 한 인간이 살아가기 위해선 좋든 싫든 수많은 인간관계를 거쳐야만 한다. 그 때문에 인간관계에서 오는 스트레스와 행복은 오롯이 본인의 몫이며 본인만이 해결해 나갈 수 있다. 나는 내 사람들 때문에 살아간다. 가족을 위해서, 친구를 위해서, 나를 믿어주는 사람들을 위해서. 당신 역시 그렇지 않은가? 누군가는 나에게 위선자라고 말할 지도 모른다. 인간은 자신을 최우선으로 생각하니까. 그렇다. 나의 첫 번째 행복은 가족이다. 이것이 위의 형이 내게 던진 두 번째 물음에 대한 답이었다. 나는 죽는 것이 두렵다. 우리는 시간이라는 거대한 무언가로부터 벗어날 수 없다. 그렇기 때문에 내 사람들과 오래오래 행복하게 살아가고 싶다는 평범하고 어려운 꿈을 꾼다. 이 글을 읽는 당신들처럼. 이 앨범 안에 나의 마지막 20대를 박제시킨다. 이렇게 스물 아홉을 마친다. |
