(원제는 [Greetings From Tim Buckley]) 그만큼 고인의 음악이 잊지 못할 여운을 남겼기 때문일 것이다. 단 1장의 앨범으로 이토록 오래 사랑 받는 아티스트가 또 있을까. 다작의 여부와 상관 없이 제프 버클리를 대중음악계의 전설로 꼽기 주저하는 사람은 많지 않다. 활발하게 활동할 당시에도 동료 뮤지션들, 특히 선배들 사이에서 많은 극찬을 받았다. 밥 딜런(Bob Dylan), 레드 제플린(Led Zeppelin) 등이 그의 팬으로 알려져 있다. 데이빗 보위(David Bowie)는 [Grace]를 무인도에 가져가고 싶은 앨범으로 꼽기도 했다. 잡지 [롤링 스톤]은 제프 버클리를 역대 최고의 보컬리스트 100명 중 한 명으로 꼽았으며, [Grace]를 역대 최고의 앨범 500개 중 하나로 선정하기도 했다. [You And I]는 정규 앨범 [Grace]의 전초전이자 첫 번째 스튜디오 세션의 기록이다. 콜롬비아와의 계약으로 들떴을 그는 어떤 마음 가짐으로 녹음실에 들어섰을까. 정확한 레코딩 시기는 1993년 2월이다. [Grace]가 발표된 것이 1994년 8월이므로, 처음 밑그림을 그린지 1년 반 뒤에 한 시대를 대표하는 명반이 탄생한다.
