LP에는 디지털 음원에서는 느낄 수 없는 음악이 마치 살아있는 것 같은 생생함이 있다. LP의 살아 숨 쉬는 생생한 음악 소리 덕분에 부활해서 이제는 CD 매출을 넘어섰다. 동일 음원으로 고음질 디지털 음원과 LP 소리를 비교해서 들어보면 소리의 생생함에서 차이가 난다. 그 차이가 클 때도 있고 작을 때도 있다. 고음질 음원이라면 클래식에서는 그 차이가 작고, 재즈와 국악에서는 그 차이가 상당히 크다. 이것이 시장에도 그대로 반영되어 LP 부활 이후 10년 동안 클래식 LP 가격은 별로 오르지 않았지만, 재즈와 국악 LP는 꾸준히 가격이 오르고 있다. LP 부활 이후 국악 LP도 상당수 발매되어서 국악 LP 매니아를 반갑게 했다. 다만 박병천의 <구음>과 <씻김>, 그리고 황병기의 <달하 노피곰>을 빼고는 절정의 기량을 보여주는 인간문화재급 명인들의 LP 발매는 거의 없는 것이 현실이다. 그런 중에 이번에 'KBS' <국악 한마당> 방송 마스터 음원이 LP로 나온다. 1차로 지난 7년간 매주 방송된 무수히 많은 방송 음원 중에서 최고의 기량을 갖춘 명인 명창들의 음원을 추리고 추려서 총 10장의 LP로 발매한다. 국악 매니아라면 이름만 들어도 설레이는 안숙선, 김수연, 김일구, 정순임, 김영자 명창의 판소리와 지성자, 원장형, 김무길, 이생강, 박종선, 정대석 등 기라성같은 기악 명인들의 산조로 이루어졌다. LP 발매는 방송 마스터 음원을 제공한 협조와 LP 음질에 진심인 '사운드 트리', 국악을 사랑하는 '닥터초이 오디오랩'의 노력으로 탄생했다. LP 부활 이후 국악 최초로 일반적인 Safe 커팅이 아닌, 다이나믹한 Loud 커팅을 채택해서 국악 특유의 묵직하게 가슴을 울리는 사운드가 되도록 했다. (한 면이 20분 이내의 음반에 한함. 별도 표기) 진귀한 인간문화재급 명인 명창의 절정에 이른 음악을 LP로 즐길 수 있게 되었다. 극한의 경지에 이른 명인 명창들의 소리가 담긴 LP는 국악을 좋아하는 귀명창들에 소중한 선물이 될 것이다. <심당(心堂) 안숙선> 박귀희 명창에게서 가야금 산조를 배워 인간문화재가 되었고, 김소희 명창에게서 춘향가를 배워 인간문화재가 되었다. 근래로는 유일하게 두 부문에 차례로 인간문화재가 된 독보적인 명창이다. 안숙선은 판소리, 가야금 산조, 가야금 병창에서 모두에서 일가를 이루고, 창작 국악까지 새로 내놓은 국악계의 슈퍼스타다. 대중성과 예술성 시대성을 모두 최고 수준으로 이룬 현존 최고의 명창이다. |
