'이처럼 한 노래를 다른 두 가수가 부르면 어떨까?' 그가 막연히 꿈꾸던 장면이 실현됐다. 조동익(작곡)·조동희(작사) 남매가 시작한 '투 트랙 프로젝트'다. 지금도 꾸준히 사랑받는 명곡 '나의 외로움이 널 부를 때'(장필순 5집·1997)를 합작했던 남매는, 그에 못지않게 생명력이 긴 노래를 만들고자 의기투합했다. 프로젝트 첫 곡 '연대기'는 지나간 사랑에 대한 기억을 사라지지 않는 하나의 연대기로 비유한 노래로, 정승환과 장필순이 첫 번째 아티스트로 낙점돼 '투트랙 프로젝트'의 시작을 연다. 그리고 두번째 곡 '사랑을 사랑하게 될 때까지'는 절제된 어쿠스틱 멜로디와 일렉트로닉 사운드가 서정적인 분위기를 이끄는 곡으로 밴드 잔나비의 최정훈과 한영애가 각각 노래했다. 세번째 곡 '오늘부터 행복한 나'는 가수 이효리와 남편 이상순이 기타 연주를 곁들이며 가수 장필순이 화음을 더했다. 이 곡의 두 번째 아티스트인 감성 보컬 정세운은 작은 꽃에서 우주를 발견하자는 매일의 다짐을 부드러운 보컬에 담아내며 듣는 이들의 행복 지수를 높인다. 네번째 곡 '슬픔이 지나간 자리'는 시적이고 서정적인 가사와 이승열의 깊이 있는 보이스가 어우러진 곡으로 함춘호의 기타와 박용준의 피아노가 곡을 더욱 풍성하게 완성했으며, 장필순이 코러스를 맡아 이승열과 최고의 시너지를 선보인다. 두 번째 아티스트로는 스텔라장이 참여하여 봄처럼 가볍고 포근한 그녀의 목소리로 남자보컬 이승열과는 또다른 위로를 건네준다.
