BAE173(비에이이173)은 ‘BAE’와 숫자 ‘1’,’73’이 합쳐져 탄생했으며 ‘다른 누구보다 먼저’, ‘내 사랑, 허니’, ‘최애’를 의미하는 ‘Before Anyone Else’의 약자 ‘BAE’와 완벽함을 뜻하는 숫자 ‘1’, 행운의 숫자 ‘73’으로 대중에게 가장 완벽한 ‘최애’ 그룹이 되겠다는 의미를 담고 있다.
데뷔 전부터 큰 기대를 모은 BAE173의 첫 번째 미니앨범 [INTERSECTION : SPARK]는 ‘교차점, 교차하다’라는 뜻의 ‘INTERSECTION’과 ‘불꽃’, ‘스파크’라는 뜻을 가진 ‘SPARK’로 다양한 매력의 아홉 명이 만나 큰 시너지를 일으키며 무한한 가능성과 실력으로 최고의 음악을 만들어가겠다는 큰 포부를 담은 앨범이다.
타이틀곡 ‘반하겠어 (Crush on U)’는 뉴잭스윙 기반의 업템포 R&B곡으로 사랑이라는 감정에 익숙치 않은 소년들이 사랑따위는 믿지 않는다는 귀여운 허세를 부리다 운명적인 상대를 마주하며 빠져가는 재치있는 가사가 돋보이는 곡이다.
