차은우가 1년 7개월 만에 두 번째 미니 앨범으로 돌아온다.

차은우의 두 번째 미니 앨범 는 ‘그 밖의’, ‘또 다른’이라는 뜻처럼 스스로 옭아매던 틀에서 벗어나 낯설고 새로운 자아를 드러내려는 시도를 담은 앨범이다. 하나의 의미로 규정할 수 없는 열린 개념의 단어인 는 차은우가 지닌 무한한 가능성과 다층적인 스펙트럼을 상징하기도 한다.

두 가지 상반된 결로 전개되는 는 겉으로는 완벽해 보이지만 그 이면에 숨겨놓던 거칠고 본능적인 감정을 드러내는 ‘격렬한 생동감’과 그 틈에서 피어나는 섬세하면서도 날 선 감각의 또 다른 얼굴이 담겨 있다. 서로 다른 결이 충돌하면서도 공존하며 지금까지 보지 못했던 차은우의 몰입도 있는 존재감을 만나볼 수 있다.

첫 솔로 앨범 가 ‘나’라는 본질을 고백하는 여정을 담은 앨범이라면, 이번 앨범을 통해서는 무형의 틀 안에 갇혀 있던 자신을 깨뜨리고 살아 움직이는 새로운 얼굴과 거칠지만, 숨김없는 본연의 모습을 담대하게 드러냈다. 

의 타이틀곡 ‘SATURDAY PREACHER’는 Retro 스타일의 Synth와 펑키한 베이스라인이 어우러진 댄서블한 디스코 장르의 곡으로, 사람들 내면의 열정을 일깨우는 매력적인 존재를 그려내고 있다. 차은우의 매력적인 가성 보이스로 표현해낸 심플하게 반복되는 Hook은 리스너들에게 이색적인 바이브와 중독성 강한 리듬을 선사한다. 특히 향수를 불러일으키면서도 신선한 느낌을 선사하는 이 곡은 토요일 밤의 열기를 떠올리게 하는 에너지 넘치는 노래다.
